The iPhone 7 has one of the weirdest hardware flaws of all time

Following the announcement of the iPhone 7, the internet is once again up in arms about Apple’s upcoming flagship.

“Tech vultures have circled their ears down on the new iPhones’ speakers where a loud hissing or wooshing noise could be heard,” reports Pocketnow.

It was Stephen Hackkett of the 512 Pixels podcast who originally discovered the flaw when he was restoring data from iCloud to his iPhone 7 Plus.

“After picking the device up from my desk, it was clear the sounds are coming from the back of the phone,” Hackett said, “possibly from the CPU.”

While there doesn’t seem to be anything actually wrong with the phone it is quite ironic that the same phone which removed a headphone jack for aesthetic purposes now hisses at you.

Naturally the issue has been dubbed “#Hissgate” and thousands have already taken to social media to defend or call out Apple.
