Raspberry Pi Official Starter Kit – South African pricing revealed

The Raspberry Pi Foundation recently unveiled the official Raspberry Pi Starter Kit, which will be available in South Africa from 4 October.

RS Components SA said the starter kit is available for pre-order, selling for R2,524.37 (ex VAT).

“Over the last four and a half years we’ve sold a grand total of 10 million Raspberry Pis. To celebrate, we’ve put together our own idea of what the perfect bundle would look like, creating the official Raspberry Pi Starter Kit,” said the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

The kit includes:

  • Raspberry Pi 3 Model B
  • 8GB NOOBS SD card
  • Official case
  • Official 2.5A multi-region power supply
  • Official 1m HDMI cable
  • Optical mouse and a keyboard with high-quality scissor-switch action
  • Copy of Adventures in Raspberry Pi Foundation Edition

    I was under the impression that the Rand was strengthening against the Dollar. However according to this price we paying around R72 for a dollar not R14. Oh yes lets also not forget excluding vat.
