iOS 10 and the iPhone 7 have been jailbroken

22 September 2016

Apple’s iOS 10 and by extension the iPhone 7 have officially been jailbroken, reports Phonearena.

“Just a few days after it landed on the market, it appears the iPhone 7 has been successfully jailbroken by Luca Tedesco, a hacker, developer, security researcher, and all-around tech person.”

This was confirmed on Tedesco’s Twitter page which showed a photo of an iPhone 7 running iOS 10 with the Cydia store installed.

Tedesco has not released his hack to the public, but given how little time it took him to hack the device, it’s only a matter of time before the public gains access to the hack.
