The holiday season is creeping closer and while you’re saving up for the next big Steam sale, your library might become a bit stagnant.
However, there are still a few hidden gems you can play if you’re looking for a new game to add to your collection this weekend.
If you’re looking for something new to try out this weekend, take a look at these five games:
Rocket League – R131
Rocket League has just received a major update, adding a host of new features such as new cars and arenas.
Also, the game is discounted by 40% until 12 December, so if you were thinking about getting Rocket League, now could be the best time.
Maize – R197
Maize describes itself as “a first-person adventure game about what happens when two scientists misinterpret a memo from the U.S. Government and create sentient corn”.
The game has a great sense of humour and an engaging story, although it is relatively short.
Steep – R799
Ubisoft’s Steep released to a relatively good reception, with critics praising its freedom and varied gameplay.
If you’re a fan of skiing, gliding, or snowboarding, Steep could be one of your new favourite games this year.
Fracture the Flag – R55
Fracture the Flag is a unique PvP real-time strategy game which has just left Early Access.
The game features unique siege mechanics and a change of pace from convential RTS game design.
Lara Croft GO – R87
While it is a port of a popular mobile title, Lara Croft GO has retained its following on Windows.
The game’s simplistic graphics and engaging turn-based puzzle gameplay have won the hearts of casual PC gaming fans.
I played the Steep Beta a few weeks back. It was extreme fun. I enjoyed the Wingsuit the best.
