FMTwo has launched a Kickstarter to fund its Gameband – a “dedicated gaming smartwatch”.

The Gameband features a 1.63-inch AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip.

The battery is a 400mAh unit, while the watch also features USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, and microSD card support.

Gameband runs on a version of Android Marshmallow and will work with Android and iOS devices.

There are 20 mini-games included with Gameband – such as Pong and Asteroids. There are also Terraria and Atari versions of the watch, which feature branded straps and unique digital faces.

Early-bird backers can get a Gameband for $99 (“late” backers can pick up a unit for $149), which is expected to launch in September.
