YouTube has unveiled its live TV streaming service YouTube TV, allowing subscribers to “watch what they want, when they want, how they want, without commitments”.
YouTube TV offers live TV streaming from ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, regional sports networks, and dozens of cable networks.
“YouTube TV gives you the best of live TV, from must-see broadcast shows like Empire and The Big Bang Theory, to the live sports you want,” said YouTube.
The service also offers a cloud DVR with no storage limits, with simultaneous recordings supported.
Users can watch YouTube TV on any screen – mobile, tablet, or computer – and can stream to their TV with a Google Chromecast.
“YouTube TV works on Android and iOS. And your cloud DVR goes with you, so you can stream your recordings on any device.”
Every YouTube TV membership comes with six accounts, which allow subscribers to watch up to three streams at a time.
A YouTube TV membership costs $35 a month and there are no long-terms commitments.
YouTube TV will be available soon in the US.
