Activision makes Modern Warfare 3 official

25 May 2011

The fact that Modern Warfare 3 is coming on 8 November has been ‘leaking’ all over the internet for the past few weeks. Despite the fact that they have even given interviews about the ‘leaks’, Activision felt they should make an official announcement regarding Modern Warfare 3 – in case some of us still didn’t believe it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is being developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games. The game will launch worldwide on 8 November 2011.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is by far the most epic Call of Duty experience yet. The teams at Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have worked tirelessly to create for the Call of Duty player a scale that is unimaginable with a level of polish and creativity that will push the genre forward,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc.

“The passion and energy of our developers is reflected in everything about the title.  From the innovative gameplay, to the cinematic intensity, to the most advanced multiplayer ever, Modern Warfare 3 will raise the bar for this already incredible franchise.”

So there you have it. Modern Warfare 3 has officially been declared. Prepare to board the hype train.
