On Saturday, Vaulted Sky Games announced that the Midnight Ghost Hunt will be available on Steam in Early Access form within the next three months in a post on its official blog.
The game looks to be a fusion between Phasmophobia and Garry’s Mod game Prop Hunt, as a team of four ghost hunters faces off against a group of four ghosts who can possess a variety of different in-game objects to hide within.

The first phase of each match involves the hunters on the offensive to capture all ghosts before the clock strikes midnight, after which the odds are in the ghosts’ favour, as all of them are resurrected and turn into vengeful spirits.
Before the start of each match, the hunters can choose from various loadouts and gadgets, including the Spectrophone, Radar, and Pathfinder, to help them detect ghostly presences.
During this time, the ghosts choose the objects they want to possess, which opens up a range of object-specific abilities to set traps or ambush their foes.
Seven maps will be available based on classic horror tropes, like the obligatory haunted mansion, an abandoned theatre, and a cursed pirate ship.
