EA Motive has announced an early 2023 release window for Dead Space’s remake in a tweet from the official Dead Space account.
The Dead Space remake was first announced in July 2021, with the development studio Motive committing to rebuilding the classic “from the ground up”.
As part of this complete overhaul, a developer livestream on Friday showcased some of the remake’s new audio improvements.
For example, Isaac’s dialogue can now vary depending on how tired he is by using a new gameplay system called A.L.I.V.E.
Additionally, the game will ship with new and improved visuals and will also feature the “one-cut” cinematography made popular by God of War (2018).
EA Motive has promised another developer update in May to reveal more details about the game’s art design.

Dead Space puts the player in the shoes of Isaac Clarke, an engineer tasked with repairing a massive starship called the Ishimura.
Upon his arrival, though, Isaac discovers the crew is now plagued by an alien infection that transforms its human hosts into terrifying Necromorphs.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to play this classic survival horror game, the remake will be the perfect opportunity.
