God of War: Ragnarök is still expected to be released sometime in 2022, Sony announced.
The game is one of the most anticipated games of 2022 and was originally set to release in 2021 before it was pushed back during one of PlayStation’s Showcase events last year.
Sony’s community and social manager has now confirmed via Twitter that Ragnarök will be released this year, and while no specific date outside of that has been mentioned, this is still reassuring news for God of War fans.
This confirmation has increased speculation that a PlayStation database leak that claimed the release date is 30 September 2022 could be accurate.
This date could just have been a placeholder, but it still gives us a good idea of what date Sony is trying to hit.
Sony is set to announce its PS5 Spartacus subscription service in the next day or two and there could be a chance we could hear more about God of War: Ragnarök during the event.
The publisher has also said that it is focused on bringing Kratos to Hollywood by teaming up with Amazon for a God of War TV series, which is also an exciting bit of information for the God of War fans.
God of War Ragnarök comes out this year.
