GreedFall 2 announced

19 May 2022

Publisher Nacon, in partnership with developer Spiders, announced yesterday that GreedFall 2: The Dying World is in development.

According to the press release, the storyline will be set three years before the adventures of De Sardet that took place in the original game.

Players will be given the role of a Teer Fradee native that has been forcefully taken from their island by the colonists of Gacane.

The new world is ravaged by war and infested by the Malichor plague as the political scheming of the different factions creates a divide.

Players must use diplomacy, wit, combat, and the help of allies to regain their freedom and put an end to one man’s delusions of conquest.

GreedFall 2 will be an RPG that focuses on story and player choice and will include new gameplay in the form of more tactical combat and revisits to the unique universe created by its predecessor.

“We are delighted to be publishing this new game that fans are sure to love. We also hope it will appeal to new players and all fans of role-playing games, great stories, action, and fantasy,” said Nacon CEO Alain Falc.

“Our love of the GreedFall universe never faded, and so we are thrilled to be returning to it,” said Spiders founder and director Jehanne Rousseau.

“In this new chapter, players will explore the old continent and meet new companions and factions in this bigger and more diverse environment,” he added.

GreedFall 2: The Dying World is planned to release in 2024 and will be available on PC and console.
