PC exclusive FPS announced – Hard Reset

14 July 2011

A brand new Polish developer called Flying Wild Hog has just revealed its very first game – a PC exclusive first-person shooter set in a sci-fi universe. The studio was founded mostly by individuals who worked on Bulletstorm and Painkiller at People Can Fly – another Polish developer. It also consists of ex-CDProjekt Red talent, who were responsible for The Witcher 2, as well as ex-members of the City Interactive team, who brought us Sniper: Ghost Warrior. So a bit of a mixed bag really, but the fact that it’s PC exclusive should appeal to the PC master race brigade.

PCGamer got the exclusive scoop on Hard-Reset. Flying Wild Hog developed its own proprietary engine for the game called Road Hog. It is being released in September 2011, although price point and retail details have not been revealed.

The PC-exclusive title transports players to a haunting, dystopian future, with humanity on the verge of extinction, confined to its last standing city and under constant threat from the robotic hordes that aim to annihilate mankind.

In the only remaining human city of Bezoar, Major Fletcher, an Army Combat Veteran and soldier of the CLN, is dragged into a conflict between two of mankind’s greatest enemies. He is to discover that nothing is what it seems to be.

You can track the game’s progress on the official website,  as well its facebook page and twitter page.
