Nintendo’s hopes and losses

It wasn’t a great week for Nintendo, after forecasting a massive loss for the company in the third quarter, they kind of needed the good news in the form of confirming their next gen console definitely coming this year – and the intriguing new Nintendo Network. It just made good business sense.

Microsoft rumours abound

What’s a week in gaming without the rumour mill grinding those grains? As usual, it’s the next generation in focus, and there was a lot of buzz around Microsoft’s Nextbox, as well as a hint of portable gaming in the works. Omnomnom.

Blizzard calls off BlizzCon 2012

It seems Blizzard are so busy not releasing Diablo III that they’ve called off their convention this year so they can work on their games. Note: Work on. Not release.

If you didn’t know Aliens: Colonial Marines was still a thing – it is; but it’s also a Gearbox game, so unsurprisingly, it has been delayed. Again. The next Duke Numem Forever, anyone?
