According to an NC soft earnings report published on Voodoo Extreme 3D, Guild Wars 2 will not launch this year.
The sequel to the popular MMORPG was originally announced in 2007, and it is expected that beta testing will begin this year. The release schedule is part of a report that NCsoft’s profits have fallen 40% over the past year.
The company, also responsible for titles such as Lineage & Lineage II, Aion: Tower of Eternity and City of Heroes/villains, has also pushed “Blade & Soul” back to 2010. The report also confirms that Aion: Tower of Eternity, which was released in Korea late last year, will only hit Europe and USA in Q4 (Oct-Dec) this year.
According to the report, Guild Wars 2 is currently TBA in 2010/2011.
