Gass Powered Games’ much anticipated Demigod is ready, and will be released internationally on April 14.
The game which makes no secret about borrowing from the Warcraft 3 mod D.O.T.A was announced in April 2008, and will allow players to choose from eight different Demigod characters when it is released.
There will be two basic character types; Assassins and Generals. Assassins will specialize in killing enemy characters the old fashioned way, while Generals will be able to manipulate the games allied PC controlled underlings, the equivalent to “creeps” in DOTA, in order to destroy their enemies.
It remains to be seen if this PC exclusive will be able to lure hardened DOTA fans away from their favorite Warcraft 3 mod. Gass Powered Games is best known for bringing us the excellent Supreme Commander, which is one of the best real-time strategy games released over the past few years.
