iGame CoD4 Sniper League in May

23 April 2009

Registrations for iGame’s upcoming Sniper League are now open, and players wanting to get in on the action need to head on over to the iGame notice boards.

The league kicks off on May 1, and as the title suggests will consist of team deathmatch sniper battles. Players need to enter in teams of two, and it is recommended that they include one extra player as a reserve.

The matches will take place on the Pandemic_Aim_2 Map, which has been described as a small close range map with no cushy hiding spots, so the games should be fairly high paced and action packed.

The games will also make use of a custom iGame Sniper Mod, and each match will consist of 9 two minute 2v2 rounds of team deathmatch with no respawning. Players will only be able to choose between two Promod rifles, and will not be able to use pistols, grenades or even knives.

The competition will start off with a round-robin pool stage, before moving on to a double elimination quarter-final, followed by a semi-final and ending off with a final round.

Players have already begun registering, and so far 12 teams are registered to compete in the league. The teams confirmed to compete so far are J&B, Yiffers, Darkness, 2 Minute Noodles, SloppyshOt, Mutton Pastry,  Lobster, Quota, Revenge, The Ultimate Smurfs, Pantoffle and Demifail.

Only players living within the borders of South Africa are eligible to enter the iGame Sniper league, and all players wishing to take part must have the relevant map copied to their install/usermaps directory. It is also important that entrants possess a legitimate copy of the game along with a CD key.
