No surprises here, as The Sims 3 dominates retail shelves as well as Direct2Drive, managing to sell 1.4 million units in its first week.
You know you have a strong franchise when you release a sequel and it claims the first two spots and its predecessor claims the third spot.
Of course World of Warcraft continues to do incredibly well, making up three of the week’s top ten retail rankings.
Spore continues to see a boost in its sales as a result of its recent $10 price reduction, while Valve’s Steam boasts a far more action driven line-up than Direct2Drive and retail.
