Capcom lay-off part of Dead Rising 2 team

19 July 2012

Capcom has layed-off a number of staff members from their Vancouver division, previously known as Blue Castle Games.

The layoffs, which add up to seven percent of the total work force, were said to be due to “a result of unsuitable fit for the studio goals”.

“Capcom Vancouver has laid off 20 staff as part of its regular periodic assessment of overall studio goals. The studio is actively hiring talented staff to support its goal of delivering high quality games”, said a Tweet from the official Capcom account.

The studio was apparently working on a new unannounced Capcom IP.
