EA has revealed the final title for Command and Conquer 4, which is currently in its developmental stage.
‘Command and Conquer 4 Tiberium Twilight’ has been announced as the official name of the next instalment in the franchise. What is unique about it however is the fact that the name was chosen by the fans who voiced their opinions in an open voting session.
Although the name suggests that this may be the last game in the Command and Conquer range no official confirmation has been made by EA. In a recent press release developers did reveal that this would act as closure to the Tiberium saga, in which the factions of GDI and NOD would have to form an alliance to combat a new threat. It was also announced that Command and Conquer 4 would see the Kane story drawing to a close.
The game will feature mobile command centres, persistent player progression in which units can level up with experience points and a 5v5 objective based multiplayer.
Currently Command and Conquer 4 Tiberium Twilight is being developed exclusively for PC although there have been rumours circulating that the game might find its way onto the PS3 and Xbox 360.
It is scheduled for a 2010 release.
