MSSA affiliates invited to enter international DotA tournament

Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA), an affiliate to the national Department of Sport for gaming, has announced that all clubs affiliated to it can enter the DotA ETSC Winter 2009 tournament. 

The E-Sports Thailand Championship is an international gaming tournament which will take place from the 15th to the 18th of October which will feature 32 Thai and 32 International teams playing DotA Frozen Throne version 1.24. 

The tournament winners will be awarded roughly $5200 (R40 040) as well as relevant trophies and medals. 

Maximum number of players per team is six, with five active players and one substitute. 

Any member clubs that wish to apply need to apply in writing to the MSSA so that “the necessary permission can be granted before they enter said event.”

“All expenses are for the competitor’s own account” says the MSSA. Entries close at the end of September.
