Borderlands minimum PC requirements announced

5 October 2009

Minimum system requirements for the upcoming first person shooter/RPG, Borderlands, were published today by Shack News.
The game will require the following to run:

Operating System: Windows XP/Vista/7

Processor: 2.4Ghz or higher

Memory: 1GB RAM (2GB recommended for use with Vista)

Graphics: 256MB video RAM or better (GeForce 8 series or higher/Radeon R8xx series)

Capacity: At least 8GB of hard drive capacity

Sound: Windows compatible sound card.

Judging from My Gaming’s initial hands on impression of Borderlands at rAge this past weekend, it appears that the game will deliver a considerable amount graphically without being too resource hungry. These specifications fall in line with most entry-level gaming PCs, making Borderlands accessible to most PC gamers.

The open-world shooter, which features additional RPG elements is due for release on PC later this month and will also be available on PS3 and Xbox 360.
