The PC demo for Ubisoft’s upcoming gaming adaptation to James Cameron’s Avatar is now officially available as a 1.56GB download from FileShack.
The demo, which first emerged through the Coca Cola Zero German website, will display a CRC error for ReadMe_uk.txt upon installation. Despite this choosing ‘ignore’ will allow the installation to continue normally.
Because the demo does not create any shortvuts gamers will need to open the proper directory (default is Program Files->Ubisoft->Demo->James Cameron’s AVATAR – THE GAME (Demo)->bin) and open AvatarDemo.exe to play.
Avatar is due to be released on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and PSP on the 1st of December, prior to the movie.
