iGame Annihilation CoD4 league update

1 December 2009

The second leg of the iGame Annihilation CoD4 league is well under way, with a number of teams already having made an exit, and others – such as Brazen and Pantheon– looking as strong as ever.

Teams were originally divided into four separate pools where they played each other on a round robin basis to determine who would go through to the final stages.

Pro Division Pools

Pool – 1 Pool – 2 Pool – 3 Pool – 4
Brazen uBs.GT Pantheon A*P
uBs.EN sG.Evoke Mint Prodigy
EVO Element T1 uBs.ZK ATF/A
dS.eQ Beastial ATF|T Pandemonium

Brazen and EVO came out tops in Pool A, while Synergy and UbS.GT progressed from Pool B. Pool C saw Pantheon and Mint taking top places, and Pool D had Prodigy and A*P go forward.

These teams will now play each other in the quarter final stages which will be played as follows:

– Pantheon vs. UbS.GT
– Brazen vs. A*P
– Prodigy vs. EVO
– sG.Evoke vs. Mint

Before each match each team will choose a map. Matches will kick off with a knife round to determine which map is played first, with the winner getting preference. If each team wins a map, then a third map will be played to decide the winner.

All quarter final matches must be played by December 6, with winners going through to a semi-final.
From there the tournament will progress to the finals, which must be played before December 20.

Brazen won the first leg of the league earlier this year, with Entropy Gaming (now Pantheon) placing second. These two teams are considered to be favorites by many for the second leg, but anything can happen, and the likes of Mint, UbS.GT and A*P will be looking to cause an upset.
