After slipping from the top spot following the launch of Valve’s Left 4 Dead 2, Activision’s military themed shooter reclaimed the title of top selling Steam game last week.

The THQ complete pack held out at third place offering unbeatable value by selling a total of 18 games for $49.99 (R375), including all Company of Heroes titles, all Red Faction titles, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, Titan Quest, and all the Dawn of War games. The package was on special, and is now selling for its usual $99.99 price tag on Steam.
Mirror’s Edge also makes a resurgence, selling for just $19.99 (R150) and Borderlands holds out at fifth place. Dragon Age: Origins dips from 4th to 7th place and Torchlight makes a welcome entry at 10th place.
Traditionally Steam has been perceived as an impractical option for local gamers due to the high cost of bandwidth in SA. Broadband prices are declining however, and as they do, local consumers stand to benefit more from the great specials to be had.
