Final Fantasy open beta open for applications

Developers Square Enix have announced that applications for the open beta program for upcoming fantasy MMO Final Fantasy 14 is now open for PC. 

Those interested are now able to apply on the game’s official website and then follow the link to sign up. 

Succesful candidates “will be selected by random from all applications for the beta test” says the company. In addition all prospective testers must be at least 18; applying more than once will result in immediate disqualification. 

The page also notes that a PS3 beta test will be conducted at some point in the future but no conclusive date has yet been given. 

Currently Final Fantasy 14 is due to be released on March 2010 across all platforms in the west. It was released in Japan today.
