SA’s best Call of Duty 4 (CoD4) team Brazen is hosting a once off competitive event for the game on Sunday January 10. The One Night Cup will see 16 teams go head to head in an online double-elimination format.
The One Night Cup marks the first competitive CoD 4 event of 2010. Brazen is organizing the event and is also providing a R500 cash prize to the winning team, who if last year is anything to go by, may well be themselves.
There are 16 team slots available, 6 of which will be reserved for top finishing teams at rAge last year. The remaining 10 slots will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. If the tournamanet fails to fill the 16 spots then the top 6 teams will skip the first round.
Teams interested in entering should contact [email protected] and provide their team name and full player line up as well as 2 substitutes. Registrations close on Friday evening, and the brackets will be drawn up and become available on Saturday morning.
The tournament will then kick off on Sunday at 5pm, with players being given 10 minutes to join each game, and a 10 minute break between each round. Top team Pantheon Gaming is missing two of its players and will not be able to field its regular starting line up, if it is able to compete at all.
