First Assassin’s Creed 2 DLC due this week

Developer  Ubisoft has revealed, via its official Twitter account, that the first downloadable add on for recently released open world adventure sequel Assassin’s Creed 2 entitled “The Battle of Forli” will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 on January the 28th.

The add on, which is priced at 320 Microsoft Points or $4 (roughly R30) comprises the first of two corrupted memories’ of the Animus and will see Niccolò Machiavelli and Caterina Sforza fighting alongside Ezio to protect Eden from the Orsi brothers and the Templars. The second add on, “Bonfire of the Vanities” will be released in late February. Each DLC package will weigh in at roughly 1GB.

With regard to the game’s belated PC release Ubisoft has confirmed that it is still due to hit shelves in the first quarter of 2010 and that an official release date will be “communicated later”.
