February game release calendar

1 February 2010

There were a few noteworthy games released last month, including Bayonetta, Darksiders and of course Mass Effect 2 which has just hit shelves.  While it was a good month for gamers, it would seem that the flood gates truly are being opened over the next few weeks.

Indeed, February is looking like one of the most exciting months for gamers in recent memory, with the likes of Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain, STALKER: Call of Pripyat, Aliens vs. Predator, Dante’s Inferno and Star Trek Online all making their way to retail.

February release calendar

Napoleon: Total War TBA PC
Aliens vs Predator 26 Feb PC, PS3, 360

With not enough hours in the month to play everything on this list, gamers will have to be selective.

PS3 owners really are spoilt for choice this month, with the hugely anticipated psychological thriller Heavy Rain making an appearance on the 24th. This should give gamers just enough time to squeeze Dante’s Inferno and Bioshock 2 in over the first few weeks. Of course, the must play multiplayer FPS MAG as well as AVP will be hitting shelves towards the end of the month, and White Knight Chronicles and Star Ocean: The Last Hope are not to be overlooked

Xbox 360 gamers have it a bit easier, but will still have to choose between Dante’s Inferno, Bioshock 2 and AVP. This is assuming they aren’t still playing Mass Effect 2.

PC gamers will have a new and exciting MMO in the form of Star Trek Online, as well as Bioshock 2, AVP and the third iteration of the STALKER series. Management and RTS fans will also be catered to with the latest Total war release as well the first Anno 1404 expansion pack.
