"Deus Ex: Human Revolution" registered by Eidos

11 February 2010

According to Gamespot  Square Enix has registered the title Deus Ex: Human Revolution with the US Patent and trademark Office.

Little is known about the game, although a moderator post in the Deus Ex forums reveals a number of interesting titbits.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution facts

Deus Ex: Human Revolution will supposedly be set in 2027 before the events of the original.

The game is being developed by Eidos Montreal.

None of the people who worked on the previous two games will be working on Deus Ex: Human Revolution, although Sheldon Pacotti, Lead Writer on Deus Ex 1 and 2, is consulting on the story.

Development started in 2007.

The game will have an inventory system, experience points, global travel and choices and consequences.

It will be semi-open world, offering a mixture between linear story driven missions and freedom to choose when to perform certain tasks.

It will feature character and weapon customization, just like the first game.

There will be different ways to approach missions, depending on the player’s play style.

Thanks for the heads up Maplassie 🙂
