Harmonix has has announced via the official Rock Band facebook page that they are currently working on Rock Band 3, which is due for a global release in Northern Hemisphere Autumn, which ties in with our spring, which means we can expect the game to drop sometime around September 2010.

The game, which will be published by MTV Games and distributed by Electronic Arts, will innovate and revolutionize the music genre once again, just as Harmonix did with the original Rock Band, Rock Band 2 and The Beatles: Rock Band.
