The official demo for turn based/RTS release Napoleon: Total War is now available on Steam.
Although the game has already been released, this will give gamers a chance to ‘try before they buy’ so to speak by downloading the 1.GB demo.
The download features two sections, namely the ‘War on Land’ tutorial and the ‘Battle of Ligny’.
According to Steam, War on Land is set during the Siege of Toulon in which players will be given command of the French artillery battery. “Aided by Napoleon’s most trusted aide, [they] will learn the art of warfare in the defeat of the British army”.
The Battle of Ligny is set to be equally exciting:
“The Battle of Ligny (16th June 1815) effectively determined the outcome of Napoleon’s 100 day return to power. Although victory was achieved here, the Prussian General Gebhard Von Blucher was allowed to escape, something which very soon proved to be a fatal mistake. Play as the French or the Prussian faction”
