Dead Rising inspires weapon used for gruesome killing

A teenager in line to inherit a huge fortune has killed his father with a weapon he said was inspired by Capcom’s Dead Rising 2.

Andreu Tur Coll, 18, confessed to murdering his father with a spiked bat that he created to imitate the zombie-slaying weapon in the Dead Rising sequel.

Andreau’s accomplice, Francisco Zaragoza Abbas Rodriguez, 20, is also an avid Call of Duty gamer, and it is reported that the two met online while playing the game.

Police say Andreu’s father was struck with the spiked-bat 40 times.

Andreu was the heir to a €50 million fortune, which his father built from the sale of arcade and gambling machines.

“After killing my father, Francisco and I thought we would live better, which would end the harassment”, confessed Andreu, speaking of the apparent psychological abuse from his father.

The two had apparently been plotting to kill Andreu’s father for some time, at one point trying to slip a huge dosage of sleeping pills into a cake.
