First it was Left 4 Dead, now it’s the king of FPSs that is getting the 2D treatment.
The “de-make” supposedly follows the events of the single player campaign from the perspective of an 8-bit 2D side scroller. A wide variety of gameplay is present in the mini-game which takes about 5 minutes to complete. Players can replay memorable parts of the original, such as the snowmobile race and stationary machine gun combat.
Best of all, its free, requires only 16MB to download, and will run on pretty much any PC released in the past 15 years. You can download it from yoyogames.
