Razer Battlefield 4 peripherals teased

29 August 2013

Battlefield 4 will be launching on 29 October for the Windows desktop. To celebrate the game’s launch, Razer has collaborated with DICE and Electronic Arts to create some custom designed accessories for Battlefield 4 fans.

Razer South Africa has announced that they will be bringing the Battlefield 4-themed peripherals and items into South Africa, and these will be available at the launch of Battlefield 4 locally. No pricing for any of the new products has been determined.

Razer has customised their BlackWidow Ultimate mechanical gaming keyboard, the Destructor 2 mouse pad, and the Tapian gaming mouse. There’s also a custom iPhone 5 bumper case and a 14-inch laptop bag.

The Battlefield 4 BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard actually looks pretty damn good, switching to orange-backlit keys and a semi-gloss finish. The vinyl sticker attached to the surface cannot be removed and doesn’t stretch across the keyboard’s entire surface.

The Taipan also looks nice, but lacks the glowing green LED Razer logo.

The laptop bag is made purposely for the Razer Blade, the company’s premium gaming laptop packing in a Intel Core i7-4702HQ processor, 8GB of DDR3-1600 RAM, a Nvidia Geforce GTX765M with Optimus switching, up to 512GB of fast SSD storage space, Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit and a 14-inch, 1600 x 900 LED-backlit display.

The Blade is currently only available for South Africans through the Razer Zone online store at a staggering price of US $1,999 (approx R20,750).
