God of War: Ghost of Sparta announced for PSP

5 May 2010

In the wake of Sony’s blockbuster of the year, God of War III, the company has announced a new God of War title for PSP.

God of War: The Ghost of Sparta is being developed by the same team responsible for the previous GoW games for PSP; Ready at Dawn.

Sony claims that the game has a “realistic feel that has never been seen before on PSP or any other portable platform.”

Players will play as Kratos, tracking the events that follow those of the first game, where he journeys to Olympus. The game features a quoted 25% more gameplay than previous PSP games in the series.

“Excitement for the God of War franchise is at an all-time high and we’re thrilled to continue that momentum with God of War: Ghost of Sparta,” says SCEA product marketing VP Scott Steinberg. “This new adventure will showcase Kratos on PSP like never before in an experience that fans and newcomers can enjoy on the go, anytime, anywhere.”
