Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood confirmed for PS3, PC and Xbox 360

6 May 2010

US game retailer GameStop has revealed the name of the new upcoming Assassin’s Creed game via a promotional poster.

It is important to note that this is not being billed as Assassin’s Creed 3, but is considered more of a continuation of Assassin’s Creed 2. As opposed to being a fully fledged sequel, it strikes me as more of a new chapter, or episode.

The box blurb reads:

“Live and breathe as Ezio, now a legendary master assassin, in his struggle against the Templar order. Lead your own brotherhood of Assassins and strike at the heart of the enemy. Rome”

“And for the first time, take part in an innovative multiplayer layer allowing you to embody an assassin of your choosing and define their killing style”

“A never-before-seen online multiplayer experience.”

“Lead your own brotherhood of assassins, as Ezio, and conquer Rome.”

As promised by Ubisoft a while back, the game will feature a multiplayer component which should be interesting.

The pack shot also indicates a PS3, Xbox 360 and PC release as expected, and states that the game will be released in Fall, which means our spring; so around September then.

Ubisoft has confirmed that the promotional pack shot is legitimate.
