Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands delayed locally

21 May 2010

Ubisoft has confirmed that thanks to the giant ash cloud that a massive volcano in Iceland has been spewing forth for the last few weeks, various European airports have been closed, and subsequently, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands has been delayed in South Africa.

If you were planning on getting some time in with the new prince this weekend, then you may have to make do with the movie. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which incidentally debuts locally tonight.

Red Dead Redemption narrowly escaped the same fate, and should be in stores today as originally planned.

New Prince of Persia stock was booked into local Ubisoft HQ this morning, and will start shipping to retailers today. Sadly, this means that it will make an appearance on shelves next Tuesday.
