Daylight and Basement Crawl release dates announced

21 February 2014

Daylight made my list of top horror games in 2014, and it is my pleasure to report that it has an official release date.

The procedurally generated horror game from Zombie Studios will launch on 8 April 2014 for PS4 and PC.

Daylight will feature the support for Oculus Rift headsets, although this only being available on PC. Daylight is the first horror game made using the Unreal Engine 4.

The game is set in an abandoned hospital; the player finds themselves unarmed and with nothing but a smartphone. The female protagonist needs to escape and survive the horrors that await her in this hospital. The developers have promised that no play-through will be the same; the levels are procedural which results in every session being unique.

On top of the Daylight news, the PS4 exclusive Basement Crawl has been set for release on 26 February 2014.

This Bomber-man inspired title features some scary environments of its own, and is set to revive the classic blowing-up-environments-to-catch-your-opponent-off-guard strategy.
