Activision Blizzard has awarded its chief executive Robert “Bobby” Kotick with a cash bonus of US$7.9 million (±R85 million) for 2013 as part of a performance incentive plan.

Think of all the $15 Call of duty DLC he could buy!

According to Reuters, this is a equivalent to 374% of his US$2.1 million base salary.

Reuters throws out some more interesting stats about Kotick – aged 50, he is one of the top-paid CEOs in the United States, and he also sits on the board of Coca-Cola.

He has received a total compensation of US$64.9 million (±R704 million), including performance bonuses, over five years on a base salary of $2 million in 2012.

Kotick has been a director and CEO of Activision since February 1991, and in July 2008 he became CEO of Activision Blizzard following the merger of Activision with Vivendi Games.

In July 2013, Kotick used $50 million of his own money to form part of an $8.2 billion deal to buy back Vivendi’s share of the publisher.
