It’s already kinda the planet’s worst kept secret that more Borderlands DLC is in the works. General Knoxx’s Twitter account was recently – MYSTERIOUSLY – resurrected, while Gearbox boss man Randy Pitchford dropped in with, ““I get a LOT of questions about more DLC for Borderlands. Yes, more is coming! T2 already said so! Let’s talk soon.”
Well, he’s not talking anymore just yet, but maybe the recent PC update has something to tell. Gearbox forum guy Legendrew has been excavating the files, and turned up loads of information that’s pointing to either a bunch of completely random stuff that looks just like the next DLC expansion, or the next DLC expansion. One of these options simply looks much more likely than the other.
Spoilers to follow, of course, but such sweet, sweet spoilers.
It looks like it’s an expansion featuring Claptraps. All sorts of Claptraps, including “Mutant Midget Psycho-Traps”, “Apesh** Stunted Lunatic-Traps”, and – wait for it, wait for it, waaait for it – something called a Mega Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap. I don’t know about you lot, but I totally have to see what a Mega Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap is.
The expansion appears to comprise some 21 missions, as well as 10 or so new locations. For the complete list, roll over to the forums. Gearbox has yet to comment. Or delete the thread, for that matter.
