Earlier this month EA announced that the highly anticipated Crysis 2 will not be making its previously planned 2010 release. The game was delayed to an unspecified 2011 release so that it could get a “better marketing window,” and also so that Crytek could refine and polish it.
EA has now come forward and announced that the game will be out on March 25. The original game made waves in 2007 when it simultaneously became known as both the best looking video game ever made, as well as the most resource hungry game ever made. For years when reviewing new graphics cards hardware one of the most critical questions was; can it run Crysis.
The sequel will show off a far lighter engine, and will be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as PC.
