Spotted by Kotaku, the always informed Geoff Keighley tweeted that Portal 2 will be released in February 2011.
Geoff Keighley is the host and executive producer of Spike TV’s GameTrailers, and he is expected to shed more light on the Portal 2 release date in this week’s episode.
Portal 2 is the direct sequel to Valve’s critically acclaimed 2007 sleeper hit, Portal. It was previously expected to be released late in 2010, but was pushed back to an unspecified 2011 release time-frame.
It will be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and promises to continue to challenge players with brain bending platform puzzles, which must be navigated using the portal gun; a device which can fire enter and exit portals onto surfaces.
