I’m not one to blow smoke up alleys that deserve no smoke, but DyingLight is really refreshing in terms of you’re not able to just run head first into the night (haha, wait till you try) so to speak. You have to carefully pick your way around areas to reach objectives.
Then lets not forget to mention this is one of THE most beautiful looking game worlds with incredible atmosphere since… probably Advanced Warfare or something that was all visual candy & zero substance.
The physics engine is awesome & when you start having fun with targeting skeletal areas to hit, etc… yeah it’s not boring.
The storyline is heavily weighted to gameplay & objectives. I like that. I like feeling like I’m emotionally attached to xyz because of yesterdays hoohaa, whatever. On top of that, I can’t wait to see how the storyline plays out with how they’ve set it up.
All in all, if you’re unsure about this game, it’s well worth the time. It beats L4D2 & basically any other zombie game ever. It’s still a ball hair under The Last of Us, but that was just in a league of it’s own & unfortunately was only console.
