Duke Nukem Forever Demo planned

7 September 2010

Gearbox has declared that they believe a playable demo will be an important part of the game’s pre-release promotional campaign. Plans are already in the pipeline to get a playable demo ready for the public before the game hits shelves sometime in 2011.

Gearbox head honcho Randy Pitchford told VG247 that “the cat’s out of the bag we can actually make those plans. Now we can get with retailers and figure out the launch window, and figure out demo timing, and work with the first-parties on that.”

“We weren’t able to do that until this point, because if we did we risked damaging [the reveal surprise] even further,”said Pitchford.

DNF is due out in 2011, and will be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. This will undoubtedly be one of the most ancitipated games ever released when it does actually see the light of day next year. Here’s hoping the guys responsible for Borderlands can do the franchise justice.
