Every year at rAge gamers are given the opportunity to play unreleased games from the world’s biggest publishers. This year will be no different, and we are expecting heaps of playable code and showcases of various incoming games.
Local distributors Megarom and NuMetro have announced their showcase line-up for this year’s event. Megarom handles the local distribution of various AAA game publishers, including Activision Blizzard, Take 2 Interactive (2K Games and Rockstar), Ubisoft, NCSoft, and Atari.
Numetro handles various publishers, including Capcom and Bethesda.
This year, Megarom has confirmed that the following games will be showcased from their publishers:

• Tony Hawk Shred (XBOX360 with Board)

• Aion: Assault on Balaurea (PC)
• Guildwars 2 (Developer Demo)
• Enslaved (XBOX360)
• Assassins Creed Brotherhood — Multiplayer Demo (PS3)
• Racket Sports (PS3 Move)
• Rabbids (Wii)
• Just Dance 2 (Wii)
• Shaun White Skate (Wii)
• Your Shape (XBOX360 Kinect)
• Motion Sports (XBOX360 Kinect)
Numetro has confirmed the following games for rAge 2010:
• Dead Rising 2
• F1 2010
• Fallout: New Vegas
• International Cricket 2010
• Marvel vs. Capcom: Fate of Two Worlds
Sadly, there is no sign of Call of Duty: Black Ops, and two of the biggest games on the list – StarCraft II and Civilization V – are already available locally. However, GuildWars 2 is an incredibly exciting prospect, along with Dead Rising 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Enslaved.
rAge kicks off this Friday (October 1) at 10:00 and will run until Sunday. Day tickets will cost R50 each, while weekend tickets can be bought for R80. Family tickets will be available for R150, and all tickets will be available at the door. As usual, the event will take place at the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg.
