4 epic games we can’t wait to play this month

With a new month, there’s a number of new and exciting games on the horizon.

Among those games, there are a few that we’re particularly keen on getting our hands on, so we thought we’d shared those with you

Here’s four we can’t wait to get our hands on:

Zombi – August 18th

(PC, Xbox One, PS4)

Ubisoft is bringing their Wii U exclusive (or rather former exclusive) survival horror game ZombiU to current-gen consoles.

Zombi doesn’t look like a complete overhaul of ZombiU, but rather a polished and updated port, something we’re happy to see.

The game itself was well received by critics on Nintendo’s console, so we’re excited to see what it brings to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Submerged – August 4th

(PS4, Xbox One, PC)

It’s becoming less rare these days, but it’s still not every day you come across a third-person game that doesn’t feature combat of any kind.

In Submerged, you play as a girl named Miku whose brother is seriously injured. You arrive by fishing boat in a flooded city, and your job is to explore the environment for supplies in order to save your brother.

As you play, you’ll gradually piece together the story of what happened to the city and the world you’re in. Sometimes a relaxing game like this is exactly what you need after a long day.

More than anything, we imagine you’ll want to check out Submerged for its narrative, unveiling just where you are and why.

Rare Replay (Banjo-Kazooie, to be exact) – August 4th

(Xbox One)

Beloved developer Rare is celebrating its 30 year anniversary with this collection of iconic Rare games.

The games include celebrated classics such as Perfect Dark, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Battletoads and Banjo-Kazooie.

We never got the chance to play good ol’ Banjo back on the Nintendo 64, so we’re pretty excited to delve into his adventure and its sequel, Banjo-Tooie.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – August 11th

(PS4)

The Chinese Room is returning to their roots in thoughtful, story-driven games with their next project, a spiritual successor to Dear Esther called Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture.

Unlike the large majority of apocalypse-themed video games we get each year, this is a quiet apocalypse and doesn’t feature zombies in the slightest.

Fans of atmospheric games should keep an eye on this one.
