Ask around and you’ll find that most gamers say “Resident Evil 2” when asked which game in the horror franchise is their favourite.
So, it’s a bit strange that it has taken Capcom so long to remaster the classic title in HD, but the developers have finally taken the hint.
“You’ve been telling us for years that you want Resident Evil 2 to be remade, and we haven’t been able to make it happen… until now,” said Capcom producer Yoshiaki Hirabyashi in a new video from the developer.
Hirabyashi also expressed that the team will be providing ongoing updates on the project via Facebook, so that the community can see the progress on the project.
Unfortunately, there were no specific details on what extra features or improvements the HD remake would feature, but in the meantime players can look forward to the remake of another Resident Evil game, Resident Evil 0, coming in early 2016 on Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
