Retail gaming specials this weekend

Finally, the weekend is here, and with it comes some gaming deals from local retailers, including some console, gaming and peripheral specials.

Here’s the best of the best this week:

Xbox One console (Makro) – R4,999

Makro has a Xbox One console on promotion this weekend, which includes the 500GB console and one controller for R4, 999.

There is also the option of adding Call of Duty: Ghosts and another controller for R899.

Xbox One Gears of War Ultimate Edition console bundle (Takealot) – R5,399

With the impending release of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition this month, Takealot has the 500GB Xbox One console bundle on pre-order for a special price – only R5, 399.

Battlefield 4 specials (Takealot) – various prices

EA’s Battlefield 4 has been given a discount from Takealot. Here are the new prices:

• Battlefield 4 (Xbox One) – R225

Small local retailer Game 4 U has the new 1TB edition of the PlayStation 4 on special for R5, 950.

Not a massive difference to the RRP, but a saving of R50 odd nonetheless.

Keyboard and racing-wheel special (Incredible Connection) – R800/R1,000

Incredible Connection has something for the PC and PS3 gamers, offering the Parthica Core Gaming keyboard for R800 and the Drift Oz racing wheel (compatible with PS3 only) for R1, 000.

God of War 3 Remastered PS4 bundle (Game) – R5,900

House & Home has a great price on the super-slim 4GB Xbox 360 console and controller, pricing it at R1, 899.
