Call of Duty: Black Ops disks stolen – leak incoming

19 October 2010

In a trend that seems to be becoming more the norm than the exception, several Call of Duty: Black Ops disks have allegedly been stolen from a printing press in Alabama. The game is due out on November 9, but like the recently released Halo: Reach and countless big AAA releases before it, we can expect it to be doing the rounds on torrent sites long before then.

Apparently the thief stole several disks and immediately sold them. One of the buyers is suppsoedly a member of an underground hacking forum.

Hookedgamers earlier had an image on hacker “Ungodly leaker” holding a CoD: Black Ops box. The image has since been removed at the request of Activision.

Treyarch community manager Josh Olin joined the hacking forum in question in an attempt to get hold of the hackers to negotiate a deal. He was swiftly banned from the forum.
