Call of Duty: Black Ops leaked

2 November 2010

In a shocking turn of events (gasp), Activision’s hugely hyped CoD: Black Ops has found its way into the grimy world of internet torrent networks. This follows an announcement a few weeks ago that Black Ops disks had been stolen from a printing press in Alabama.

As usual, the Xbox 360 version is the first to be leaked. The leak in question is a so-called SSv1rip – and apparently it is easily detectable by Microsoft via Xbox LIVE.

One downloader, who also happens to be a particularly gifted wordsmith, had this to say about the single player component:

“The game has nice lighting effects, but I think they’ve gone a little too much Hollywood. Pacing is important and there are just too many checkpoints, follow this person there and that type of things.”

He gives it a 7/10.

Black Ops is on track to hit store shelves on 9 November 2010 and will be released for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Local dedicated servers for the PC version were confirmed by MWEB last week and iGame has also confirmed that they will be hosting Black Ops servers.
